Sustainable Solutions

Over 90% of the waste Soltec accepts from the printing sector is recovered and recycled into new products.

In the process of recycling, 70% of the electrical energy we expend in the treatment and recovery of waste at our facility is generated from our extensive solar array.

We will recover and recycle your waste using renewable energy, generating new products for the circular economy.

The Waste Management Process

We understand that your business will require a safe and secure method of waste management.

Our service provides you with a discreet process of waste removal that minimises disruption to your business.

Safety assessment and classification

The first step is to identify and classify the waste that you have on site. Our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSAs) will attend your premises. They will create a comprehensive list of the waste that you have on site. Alternatively, you may provide us with a list of chemicals or waste that you would like to have safely removed.

Our technical laboratory team will carry out an analysis to determine the safest method for containing and transporting the waste from your site to our state-of-the art treatment facility. In advance of transportation, we will segregate, label and package the waste to ensure full compliance with safety and ADR regulations.

We will provide you with a full audit trail for waste streams as well as all the necessary certification and forms you will need in order to comply with statutory and industry regulations. Find out more about our certifications of compliance and traceability.

Secure Removal

The service we provide ensures that chemical and hazardous waste can be secured on site and transferred to one of our two treatment facilities by our licenced transport vehicles.

The treatment process

Once we have your waste on site, our ISO certified laboratory will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the material to establish the most environmentally sound and efficient method to recover and recycle the waste.

Producing sustainable products

On completion of the treatment and recovery process, a range of new products can now enter the market.

Soltec’s mission is to provide economically viable and environmentally friendly solutions to our customers that allows them to dispose of their hazardous waste.

We achieve this through applying innovative techniques to generate new products out of this waste that can then re-enter the economy.

Certifications of compliance & traceability

We provide our customers with a full and comprehensive record of the waste acceptance and recovery process. Our Dangerous Goods and Safety Advisors (DGSAs) will advise you on all regulatory requirements. Our Soltec Waste Tracker (SWT) system allows you to monitor, in real time, the movement and treatment of each shipment from your site. We will provide you with all the necessary certification and forms you will need in order to comply with statutory and industry regulations, including:

  • Waste Transfer Forms (WTF)
  • Certifications of waste acceptance and destruction when complete.
  • An audit trail and report is available through the SWT to assist with end of year AER and regulatory and corporate requirements.

We will ensure that the process is in full compliance with ADR regulations, EPA licence requirements and waste collection permit regulations.
