Soltec (Ireland) Ltd. has been recognised with the Excellence in Business Waste Management Solutions Award 2025, celebrating the company’s innovation and leadership in sustainable waste management.
For over 30 years, Soltec has pioneered hazardous waste recycling in Ireland, transforming materials that would otherwise be incinerated into high-quality, reusable products that re-enter the market. Working with sectors such as pharmaceuticals and education, Soltec ensures that 91% of the waste it manages is recovered and recycled, achieving over 6,000 tonnes in carbon savings each year.
Sustained Growth and Innovation
In 2024, Soltec marked three decades in business with a €6.8 million investment in expanding its operations. The milestone was celebrated with the opening of a new EPA-licensed treatment facility, increasing capacity to treat hazardous waste by 300%—from 5,000 to 20,000 tonnes annually. The event was attended by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke TD, who commended the company’s role in advancing Ireland’s sustainability goals, remarking:

Soltec has consistently demonstrated excellence across the recycling and waste management sector. In 2024, the company received two prestigious national honours: the Overall Pakman Award and Waste Recycling and Recovery Facility of the Year, in recognition of its contribution to the circular economy.
Building on this success, CEO David Corcoran has been announced as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2025, reflecting Soltec’s culture of innovation and sustainable business growth.
